Steps to Set Up a Chat Widget

  1. Log In:

    • Access the back end of your platform.

  1. Navigate to Sites Section:

    • Locate the 'Sites' section in the menu.

  1. Select Chat Widget:

    • Look for the 'Chat Widget' option and click on it.

  1. Create a New Chat Widget:

    • Click on the 'New' button to create a new chat widget.

  • Choose the type of chat widget you want:

    • SMS Email Chat

    • Live Chat

    • WhatsApp Chat

  1. Setup Widget:

    • Name Your Widget: Enter a name for your chat widget.

    • Customize Widget Style:

      • Choose styles and icons for your chat bubble.

      • Adjust text colors and chat bubble appearance.

  • Set Up Custom Greeting:

    • Optionally, create a greeting message for new visitors.

  • Customize Placement & Appearance:

    • Decide where on the page the widget will appear and customize the avatar image.

  1. Edit Chat Window Messaging:

    • Modify the title and messages displayed in the chat window.

    • You can also define required fields in the contact form.


  1. Additional Options:

    • Configure any compliance settings and other messaging options.

    • Set messages for after a user sends their inquiry.

    • Choose the language.

  1. Save Widget:

    • After configuring all settings, click 'Save' to save your widget.

  1. Retrieve Code:

    • Once saved, click to get the code/scripts required to add to your website.

    • Copy the script and paste it into the back end of your website or Google Tag Manager.

  1. WordPress Installation (if applicable):

    • For WordPress users, follow the provided instructions to install the necessary plugins or paste the code using a code editor.

  1. Set Live Chat Settings:

    • If using live chat options, navigate through settings to set up your business hours and any additional preferences.


Follow these steps in order, and you'll have your chat widget set up efficiently on your website. Adjust any customization settings based on your preferences for optimal user engagement.
